FINDING A JOB AT PENN
For many partners, having a job on the Penn campus is ideal for their time in Philadelphia. The best advice for anyone looking for a job at Penn is to be persistent! Continue to search the Penn website for new opportunities. Try to find the hiring manager for the position you are interested in, and contact them directly.
Several Partners have started at Penn in a temp position and were then hired into a permanent position. So you may want to consider investigating temp positions, as well as permanent ones.
Contact with current Wharton Partners can sometimes be helpful. Penn is a very large institution and each school, center, and department at the university is run separately. Depending upon which area someone works, he or she may be able to get you in touch with the right hiring contacts. Regardless, all partners will be able to explain how they got their job at Penn, and that could be very useful information!
